I spent several hours researching moving companies and ultimately I decided to go with Master Movers because I noticed while reading all the reviews, that they actually responded to each one in a meaningful way. For this reason I decided to go with them.When I made the reservation I spoke with a gal named Mercedes. She was pleasant and professional. I am only giving three stars because when I made the reservation I specifically requested a third man for the move because I needed to ensure I was not stressed about time and I did not want to push myself physically during the move. I had just traveled 5 days across country by car to arrive in Nashville from California and I was tired and emotional.When the truck arrived there was NO third person. The two men who did show up worked their tails off all day and when I asked them where the third guy was, they said he did not have child care and could not come to work.As a business operator I know full well about the staffing challenges of our time. They were bad before Covid and now post Covid it is even worse. However, that is not my problem. I had read a few reviews where this happened. I was upset but needed to keep moving forward.I called the main office that day and left a message for Mercedes and I never heard back. I had hoped I would at a minimum get a call back from her acknowledging my frustration, yet nothing. I was not looking for a deal. Just the recognition from the management that it happened. Had I gotten a call back and someone put in the effort to hear me out, I would have added another star to the review.At the end of the day, we did complete the move in 6 hours but I had to work very hard to make up the difference. While both of the men who helped me that day were willing to work very hard and had good attitudes, they lacked organization and their loading of the truck was sloppy. I had to ask to them to tie things down as they tented to stack items in an unsecured way. I am always asking people from different industries about their training programs to see how well employers are setting up their people to win. When I asked these men about what type of training they received, they just looked at me and laughed. Enough said.I know there were doing their best. They said these kinds of things happened often and it is really hard to find reliable people. When these employees do not know when and where they need to be until the night before, it makes it very difficult to plan your life when you are on call.Not sure if I would use them again. Had I known there was a high possibility that the third man wasn't going to show, I would have gone with another company for peace of mind.

This is the WORST company to move your items. They showed up 30 minutes late with no reasoning, they did not use proper procedure when handling the property per their company guidelines. They did not use any protection for the floor or property per the guidelines outlined online. This company does not care about you or your furniture. They scratched brand new floors, desks, dressers, and even a tv. The response I got from Jennifer was “you signed a contract”. The unprofessionalism of the movers, management, and company is baffling. Do not waste your hard earned money on this joke of a companyResponse to comment: What claim was discussed? I had to contact an attorney to even get a response from your company. Your company told me I had a contract and was not liable, even when your movers broke your company protocol. Unacceptable answer to save face online.

If you are moving in or to the greater Nashville area, look no further! Master Movers was the single best moving experience we’ve ever had. We just had brand new hardwood floors installed and the work ran over schedule - so the floors were only 4 days done when we did the move. Brian, Matt, Luis, Rod and Justin laid down neoprene everywhere where furniture was going. They took off their shoes to get stuff around the house and took extra care with everything. If you need a professional move, this is the best company you’re going to find.

Edit: even in their explanation below in the comments you can see that even though they first 1) overbooked us 2) were 2 hours late 3) provided fewer men than we were promised they STILL BELIEVE THEY COULD CHARGE A $100 CANCELLATION FEE?? For the record the movers themselves told me BOTH times that WE SHOULD RESCHEDULE because they were caught in traffic, and then there were too few men to move a huge object. Where is the logic??!! They feel they can charge you for their mistake - that's the bottom line with this company. We went with Music City Movers instead, amazing group, on time, coordinated - and even less expensive. Go with Music City Movers instead friends!!So where to begin...first they overbooked us, then they rebooked us. The day they rebooked us they were 2 hours late and we had to call to find out what was going on. Then they didn't contact me to rebook, we had to call and rebook it and the woman who works there named Mercedes was slightly rude and tried to charge us a cancellation fee even though it was their mistake for being WAY too late (it was going to be 6:00pm when they would arrive and we had a move of 4 hours!) She understood after my explanation it was in fact their fault that the date had to be changed and not mine. Then the final day came, I'd been patient and polite and the moving crew calls to say they are on their way from Murphreesboro at 9:00, meaning they were already going to be 45 minutes late and were with 2 men, not the 3 men we booked and needed to move heavy items. So I called Mercedes and she sighed and told me we could not rebook, proceeded to tell me that they were booked out for awhile - which is probably totally untrue. When I said I'd pretty much had it with the disorganized administration she hung up on me. the end. Please go with another moving company.

I had a hard move in the June summer heat, but the guys did a great job of getting things in. My only con is that they should have suggested more guys to do a move to a 2nd floor.

Master movers are efficient, very professional, and on time. They moved our stuff to Texas and we are impressed by the team. Mike and Bryan are amazing guys who paid attention to every little detail and took care of stuff very well. They delivered it on time without any damage. I definitely recommend them for future moves.

Not reliable. Master movers cancelled on us 10 minutes before they were supposed to meet us to start moving, and they just texted me to notify me of this inconvenience.

Master Movers did an excellent job with our move. We had some issues with our move date and they were very flexible. They were prompt, courteous, professional and funny but also extremely careful with our things. No damage to any items. Final price was consistent with original quote. Highly recommend. Great experience and super friendly. They were even able to make adjustments on the fly and didn't have an issue with adding a run to our storage unit to clear it out after moving in the first load.Mo, Bubba, and Cody were hard working and unbelievably strong. Items i was certain they would use a furniture dolly to carry up stairs they just scooped up and hand carried them up. Amazing. And best of all, no door or wall dings anywhere.A++++ service. Would use again without question.

An overall great experience with Master Movers. Very efficient and reasonably priced. Huge shout out to Mike, Brandon, Preston, and Cody. They were all fantastic and went extra lengths to ensure that my belongings were handled carefully and properly packed. Will definitely be calling on these guys again for future moving needs.

This co. doesn't care about you or your stuff. They run the clock up on purpose.They arrived late & couldn't work and talk at the same time a lot of furniture was broken & we ending up having to help move half the items in our apartment. I was injured trying to help and we ended up having to get our friends and family to assist with items a lot of items that were left behind. They charged us waaaay more than the quote. When I complained to the mgr. of the company she said she'd call me back its a month later and I still haven't heard back.

We used Master Movers for moving a storage unit as well as unloading 2 Pods (on separate occasions). We worked with 3 different teams on these moves. All of the moves went smoothly, our belongings were treated with care, and everything was done with expediency as well. Some movers drag their feet when they are being paid by the hour, but not the employees at Master Movers. They worked like the professionals they are! They saved us so much time, hassle, and headaches that I have already recommended them to friends and family. If we have any other moving needs, this is who we are calling for sure!!

Master Movers did an exceptional job moving my 97 year old mother to an assisted living facility. These young men were clean, neat and very respectful. They took very special care not to ding walls or door trim. They were very professional. They wasted no time, no playing around or talking on a cell phone. Damian and James were professional and kind. I say kind because we had an awkward move when moving my parents into assisted living. They were patient and answered every question with kindness, no matter how often it was asked. They are both strong as an ox and treated the furniture as if they were museum pieces. We had used Master Movers once before and I am glad we used them again.

Mike at Master Movers moved us for the second time, and he and his team, Mo, Terry, and Preston, were terrific! They were organized, efficient, cognizant of property, and moved all of our furniture/personal property without any damage! Master Movers are great. Michael was the bomb!!! His crew was awesome. Moved from Clarksville to Cookeville. They arrived, loaded and had me moved and set up in 5 hours (its 4 hours road time) total of 9 hours with the best moving crew I have had the pleasure of doing business with. They protected my belongs and even found something that I had been searching for and couldnt find. I could not recommend this company more! They moved everything from my one bedroom apartment 15 minutes away to the new house in under 2 hours. I was blown away! They were also friendly and careful with my belongings. Everything arrived in one piece and looked exactly the way it was before the move. Their prices are also very affordable.
